Awkward clothing stage?

April 22, 2010 by

I’m 26, slender and very tall (5′8″) – I would like to update my wardrobe some. Most places i’ve shopped cater to the 16-20 crowd with cute little print tee-shirts and jeans that have holes big enough to stick my arm through. While other places have clothing that cater for the 40+ crowd. Is there a good place to shop ONLINE that has decent clothing at a very decent price – I refuse to pay $30.00 for a sweater!

My style is sweaters in a solid color or cute print (nothing showy or with childish designs), and blue jeans. Since summer is coming I will wear skirts or dresses that are modest but cute.

thanks

nordstrom.com has cute sweaters in the bp. department for like 15 bucks if u can find them on sale… they are either in solid colors or stripes

Jeans and T-shirts are THE BEST! Go to sears for normal shirts and jeans.

Sorry to say, but clothing manufacturers expect people in the 25-35 age bracket to pay a lot more than $30 for a sweater. Stores like Club Monaco, Banana Republic, Express, The Limited, Anthropologie, The Gap, etc. are aimed at your age demographic. You could try http://www.forever21.com (but their clothes are sometimes rather young and poorly made) or else try the aforementioned stores when they have clearance sales.
