My daughter Ellie is 17 months old, and we are soon moving from our rental house into a home of our own!!! YAY!!!
For the first time I am going to be able to decorate the way I want to, and I have decided to make her a fairy themed room!
Ideally I would like pale pink walls, with white accents… (skirting boards, door, bed and other furniture).
I love vintage fabrics, and Michael Miller fabrics!! I want something very feminine and beautiful. Can anyone give me links to prints, fabrics, furniture… ect!
I would love to hear your ideas! Thank you!!

are these real rules- At President Bush’s insistence, a STRICT DRESS CODE (below) is enforced at The White House. Visitors not in compliance with the code upon arrival will be denied entry.
While you are welcome to take pictures of The White House grounds, both video and still photography are prohibited inside The White House. Furthermore, persons with photographic memories may be required to submit to one or more harmless injections.
Persons licensed to carry concealed handguns and/or semi-automatic grenade launchers will be asked to stow their weapons in special V.I.P. storage lockers for the duration of their visit. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
There are no public restrooms in The White House. Visitors suffering from low bladder capacity or spastic colon syndrome are advised to seek out alternate attractions in the greater Washington DC area.
For security reasons, personal wheelchairs are not allowed in The White House. Individuals arriving in wheelchairs must transfer to an appropriate Secret Service-approved model for the duration of their visit.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Persons under the age of 18 left unattended will be subject to a vigorous body cavity search.
In the event of encountering any member of the First Family (both immediate and extended) during a tour, visitors of both genders are required to avert their eyes and curtsey.

Suits: Suits are required attire for all persons possessing a penis. The following color and fabric combinations have been deemed acceptable: dark blue and wool, navy blue and wool, dark gray and wool, charcoal gray and wool, and dark brown and wool (fall only). Persons attired in suits made of silk, crushed velvet, velour, terrycloth or low-quality merino blends will be denied entry unless bearing contributions.
Dresses: Everyone may wear dresses so long as they are women. Short dresses or mini-skirts are acceptable, providing the wearer is under 28 years of age and possesses legs free of unsightly cellulite dimples and/or varicosities. Women who are heavy-set, elderly, or otherwise aesthetically impaired will be required to rent floor-length floral print housecoats prior to commencing the tour.
T-Shirts: T-shirts are permitted, providing any message emblazoned on them is appropriate for the White House. Acceptable messages include alcohol, tobacco or firearm-related expressions such as “Eat the Worm,” “Chuck Heston is MY President,” “Absolut Spring Break,” “Marlboro Race Team” or “Highway 420.” Unacceptable messages are typically leftist and pinko slogans such as “Save the Whales,” “Solar Power Now,” “Free Mumia,” or “My Parents Went to Texas, And All I Got Was This Lousy Lethal Injection.”

I don’t know if I’m paranoid or what, but I swear to God, ever since my friend turned 18, she’s been mimicking me/ trying to show me up. She suddenly likes boys who wanted to date me, and she all of the sudden has taken this huge interest in belly dancing, and I swear it’s because -I- belly dance. Also, she has JUST started wearing makeup and acts like she’s an expert at putting makeup on, even though I’ve been wearing makeup since I was like 12. Also, she picked up this thing from me (I don’t really do it anymore) where she growls at people like a friggin’ dog. Plus, I absolutely LOVE animal print and I told her that I have a pair of cat ears. Well, now I find out she’s made a pair of leopard skin cat ears and I’m like “What the hell?” It seems, too, that she wants to be more effeminate now. But, see, I’m the one who always wears dresses and skirts and she’s always been a tomboy! I swear to God she’s copying me and wants to like replace me or be cooler than me or something. It’s really starting to piss me off, because I’ve always liked being my own unique person and now she’s acting like me. And she wants to dress skimpy now because I dress skimpy!

I’ve heard the whole deal about how it should be flattering if someone acts like you, but I don’t get that. I don’t want to be a trend setter, I don’t want people to try and be me. I don’t think it’s flattering that she tries to do everything I do and then gets all condescending to me about stupid crap! So, what should I do?

Some hipster-pretending, Southern Florida rag newspaper decided to print a list of “Florida’s Hottest Pols” and my wife, who is running for District Attorney in our small county, made the list. She was ranked No. 39 out of 40.

It read, in part, “Watch out for this Central Florida firecracker. Claire _____, 40, not only earned her stripes as a much-feared defense attorney, representing some of the state’s meanest mob bosses, but also she is known to wear stilettos in in the courtroom with her trademark black business suits with short skirts, giving her a decided advantage with ‘hung’ juries. Oh, mama! The 5-5 buxom brunette is running a slash-and-burn campaign against a 30-year-incumbent, calling him everything from a draft dodger to a pedophile. If she doesn’t win the election, she’d be a natural to play the role of hot dominatrix.”

Somehow my wife found this flattering. The article doesn’t even mention the kids or me. Now she’s acting even more uppity than usual.
Last night, we were at a political fundraiser, and she seemed to shy away from me whenever the photographer came around. I think she didn’t want to be photographed with me.

Frankly, I think she’s living in some alternative universe. I’m pretty in-shape and look great for my age.

Does your spouse think he/she is better looking than you? Does he/she get a big ego when complimented on looks?

My style is kind of edgy vintage, i like high waisted skirts with ripped black tights, and stuff like that. I HATE giant over-the-top jewlry or rediculously bold, bright prints. I tend to wear a lot of grey, black, white, and red, and my favorite decades for clothes are the 1920’s and the early 1960’s.
sorry about the picture, i don’t know how to fix that. like I said, the dress is baby blue, mid-thigh length, and sleevless. Also, it isn’t all that curvy, it pretty much goes straight down.

Got a Question?
You Report
Russian bombers have stepped up provocative flight exercises off the Alaskan coast, reminiscent of Cold War incursions designed to rattle U.S. air defenses.

U.S. Northern Command, which protects North American airspace, told The Washington Times that TU-95 Bear bombers on 18 occasions the past year have skirted a 12-mile air defense identification zone that protects Alaska. The incursions prompted F-15s and F-22 Raptor fighters to scramble from Elmendorf Air Force Base and intercept the warplanes. The last incident happened in May.

The venerable propeller-driven TU-95 came to symbolize the Cold War, as did its counterpart, the U.S. B-52 Stratofortress.

“They have flown close enough to deem it necessary to ID and monitor them,” said Maj. Allen Herritage, a base spokesman. “They come. We ID. We go back to our base. They go back to their base.” Elmendorf is headquarters for the Alaskan region of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).

Air defense identification zones are military boundaries designed to guard the U.S. and Canada against attack. To enter the zones legally, pilots must file flight plans with air controllers. Russian bombers do not file flight plans, so U.S. and Canadian jets are required to scramble to identify the planes and warn them away from the area.

“They have not been filing a flight plan and that is the problem,” Maj. Herritage said.

Moscow’s sophisticated show of force has some in the Pentagon paying more attention to the long-term goals of a Russian military, which is being rebuilt with proceeds from the country’s huge oil and gas revenues. NORAD is more sensitive than ever to wayward aircraft, given the Sept. 11 attacks by hijackers and the lack of military coordination at the time to track, and perhaps destroy, the planes.

Adm. Michael G. Mullen, the Joint Chiefs chairman, talked on Monday of “the challenges we have with a resurgent Russia” while addressing Pentagon workers at a town-hall-style meeting.

Gen. Victor E. Renuart Jr., chief of NorthCom, said earlier this month that “I think the Russians are not a near-term military threat,” while noting they had “renewed” military flights over the polar region. This is the route U.S. or Russian bombers would travel to bomb the other’s country.

“I think we do have to make sure, you know, post-9/11 world, that we never let an unidentified aircraft come into our airspace, and that we determine who they are and what they’re doing, and if it is a Russian aircraft on a training mission, we allow them to continue to do their job,” Gen. Renuart said on WUSA-TV’s “This Week in Defense News.”

Although Gen. Renuart downplayed the incursions, other air-power authorities said Vladimir Putin, as Russian president, began flexing his military’s muscle last year as a message to Washington.

“Putin is trying to get the military rejuvenated and trying to show they are a military power,” said retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas G. McInerney, who commanded NORAD’s Alaska region. “He’s doing it for a whole host of things. It’s really muscle-flexing.”

When told that 18 Russian incursions had been reported in 12 months, Mr. McInerney said, “That’s a lot.”

Mr. Putin, who relinquished the presidency in May and is now prime minister, has been at odds with President Bush over NATO expansion and the invasion of Iraq. At times, he has made strong anti-U.S. statements that stirred Cold War memories.

A NorthCom statement to The Times said, “Russia has indicated in open press reporting its intention to proceed with navigation and operational training.”

Mr. McInerney said the incursions are the most sophisticated since the Cold War. He made the assessment based on an Air Force briefing he received last fall at Elmendorf.

Agence France-Presse/Getty Images PUSHING IT: A U.S. warplane (right) intercepts a TU-95 Bear, a Russian plane commonly used during the Cold War, in February. The American plane escorted the bomber away from a carrier south of Japan after the Russian plane came threateningly close.

The retired general called the exercises “coordinated attacks coming into our air defense identification zone. They are very sophisticated attack training maneuvers. These incursions are far more sophisticated than anything we had seen before.”

He said the Russian army air force is launching Bear bombers from Tiksi on the Arctic Ocean and Anadyr in Siberia. They are flying against the air defense identification zone from both the polar caps and from the south. The Air Force statement said it has “monitored Russian aircraft taking off from a variety of air bases across their country

THE POINT IS MR. DALE, DEMS ARE ALL OVER HERE SAYING PALINS LIYING, OR DUMB! WHEN FACED WITH FACTS ALL THEY HAVE IS SPIN!

So you see i’m not american and i am moving and i really wanna fit in. And what i wear is a big thing. So can you plz help me out. You know what you wear and little tips about it. I’ll tell you a little of what i usually wear and my style.
i love denim and i am always wearing jeans. I hardly ever wear capris. i don’t like them. And if i do wear skirts there has got to be tights underneath. I hardly wear just tights. Always jeans. If it’s casual wear to like school or maybe the mall it’s a simple shirt which is usually long like underneath my hips. And if it’s like a party or something of that sort it’s a totally different thing. Little fancy sometimes sequined or prints.I have a big variety of shoes from sneakers to sandals to boots so i hope that shouldn’t be a problem. And i usually accessorize with jewelery. Bracelets are optional but i’m always wearing earrings. I get a little confused with what necklaces to wear so i usually leave that part out. And other things like hats and scarves I don’t even have them. So if you can just give me some tips and if i have to buy anything to improve my style plz just tell me. Thank you a million times

Well,my style is classy & I’m a trendsetter. I like the classic look and I love wearing what I say I want, not what the magazines say you should want!
My favorite look of all is edgy & punky. I love everything studded, everything zebra/cheetah print, and skinny jeans/pants. I love funky, wild stuff. I also adore skulls, leather jackets, & crazy colors in hair.
I also totally dig vintage. I like to wear little plaid blazers, big necklaces with pearls, & little pink button up mini skirts.
