First day working front desk at a salon, what can I expect?

I actually have quite a few questions. The dress code is black and white. I have some different options. Considering tomorrow will be a warm day, I can either go with a floral print white shirt with black pants and heels. Or a black shirt that is shimery (ha not too sure if that’s a word) with either black pants or a skirt. I also have a couple cute dresses that are black and white print (polka-dot, and floral), but I think that might be too dressy. How should I wear my hair? Down and straight? Curly? Up? I’m really nervous I have never worked at a hair salon, can you give me any tips or advice that might impress my new boss? Any anwsers will be greatly appreciated!!! So thanks
