When you sit down in a knee length pleated skirt, you Pull the skirt underneath you , push the skirt out from behind you or you do not do anything and sit down ?

I don’t wear knee-length skirts. :
You put your hands on your hips fingers pointed more toward the back than down. As you sit you allow your hands to slide down your legs. This makes sure the back of the skirt is down as you sit. And that extra fabric is neatly tucked. Keep the fabric at the side slightly tucked and smooth.l Sit will feet together, and pulled slightly back toward your body and your knees together.
Watch some circa 1965 to 69 movies to get the idea.
wear a short that is shorter than the skirt. Problem solved.
