How do you dress great with a few clothes?

well, i’m starting high school and i’m a bit short of clothes since my parents are not the kind of parents who are able to buy clothes for her daughter except school supplies, since money has been hard to get.
Anyways, I’ve been having clothes that look so kiddish and very… dark colors, the only bright colors i have is light blue, light pink, and mustard yellow. i barely use pink, cuz it’s not me. yellow is so bright yet icky (for me) and i don’t have many complimentary colors. light blue is fine, but i wear as much as i can from the dark blue, i don’t want to wear blue a lot, i have a lot of dark, navy blue on my clothes.
the colors clothes i have is white, grey, and black. these are the ones i can match the most and what i use the most. graphi-t’s are my fav with cute little cartoon and i have so many plaid, checkered, shirts.
i have shorts, but i don’t use it because of my (semi hairy–won’t shave because of personal issues) legs. i also don’t like to buy shirts that show much of my back, because my back is cover with acne and acne marks. (uggh!)
all my shoes are vans, and i seem to fit into my old chuck taylor’s. i also have 2 pairs of HIGH heels, slippers are forbidden! also flats are not the best.
for jackets…i don’t use, since most of them are either half sleeves of thin jackets with cute prints (again..kiddy) , i love to wear long sleeve, but i only have 1 white (kindda see through, so i have to wear a tang top under it) long sleeve shirt– v neck. i have three hats (never use cuz it just messes my hair) 1 checkers scarf. 3 pairs of long socks( 1 gray, 1 black, 1 strip) 2 hole gloves (you can see all your fingers) about 3 pairs of skinny jeans. 1 black sun dress. when it comes to bags..i can’t say. i have one cute frilled black skirt (again black), 2 vests, few leg warmers, and lastly………. 1 parka.

Just wear anything because the first day wont matter if you just wear normal clothes people might think they are new…

I would go to a thrift store and buy broken in jeans and call them vintage. Get the cute $2 t-shirts. And the 90’s summer dresses. Sweatshirts, casual things.

Go to the Salvation Army store by you.
I know a lot of people think it’s weird to go there, but I go there sometimes and they have a lot of cute stuff that isn’t expensive at all.
I got a nice Daisy Fuentes sweater there that was originally from JC Penny’s, but it was there for 6 dollars.
You can get more things there for a very reasonable price, and they really have everything.
My suggestion would be to get a shirts in a variety of colors so you feel like you have more to work with. Try to stick with short sleeves, elbow sleeves and sleeveless because personally, I never have much need for long sleeve shirts, as my school is always warm.
Maybe a few cardigans in black, grey, white, brown, neutral colors.
    Hope that helped!

    lets see:

even though you don’t like to wear the shorts try wearing tights underneath, it may sound strange but it look really cute check out some celebritites wearing them online!

even though you don’t have a lot of clothes all you really need are accessories because you can make any outfit new again with the right accessories and the good news is that you can find some really cheap for inspiration check out this website i found

Its about a girl wearing one dress for a whole year to show all the different things you can do with just one dress!

Anyway for a first day outfit i would suggest:
    -pair of tights under shorts,
    -vans
the white shirt with a tank top OVER it maybe?
and a cute hat or necklace :) good luck!

If you wore solid color’d shirts with tank tops under so that you can mix and match you can have many many outfits to wear. For those that fit your style you should try pacsun, you don’t need to buy alot since they’re very simple and complimentary.

Your worn shoes are fine just wash them. You can also get layered sandals, like the brand Rainbow even though they’e on the expensive side they’re really an investment since you can wear them for many years and they don’t go out of style.

Also you can get many patterened shirts at places like forever21 and h&m for veryy cheap and when you wear them noone can tell really tell when you last worn it. Try only get a few graphic tee’s because you won’t like them forever and what happens to the ones you don’t like next year?

Forever21 has many things like shorts (many lengths so you can cover the part you don’t shave), jackets, sweaters, accessories, skirts, vests, leggings, ect. And they’re all resonably priced.

If that doesn’t get the job done, try getting a job.
