How do you fold a pleated skirt and stop it getting creased up?

Our school (all boys) is doing a Harry Potter play in December and I am playing the part of Hermione. We are doing some dress rehearsals now and I have to take a pleated skirt in my bag to change into. It seems to keep getting badly creased up in my bag. Is there a proper way to fold a skirt like this?
Maybe you should fold it nice and evenly into a small bag that u could fit into your backpack or that you could hold. And you should iron it before you do anything.
awww how cute! omg what if you guys had to do a romeo and juliet play!?!?!?! ok sorry anyways, if the skirt has like lines (plaid) then fold along the lines, bcuz no one will notice or if its not plaid then you can go to school early and leave it in one of your teachers classrooms like layed out flat somewhere in the room
Get a skirt hanger. Its much easier than folding. But if you must fold then lay the left side over to the right one time.
Put it on a hanger and put a plastic cleaner’s bag over it.
You shouldn’t really fold a pleated skirt you should hang it on a clip hanger but if you must fold it, it should only be folded length wise and held, not put in a bag. If you must put it in a bag it should be a bag with a sturdy bottom, like a duffel bag, where you can fold in length wise and lay it flat on the bottom.
Harry-
It’s nice that you’re taking your part so seriously and I hope the performance goes well. If your school posts pictures of the play, we’d love to see them.
Anyway, my wife says you can’t fold a pleated skirt. Hold it by the waistband and gently fold/roll it with the waistband up and the hem down. It will form a cylinder that you can then slide into a mailing tube of the correct length that you can then place in your bag. You can also just hang it from a skirt hanger and carry it that way.
My question for you is: why can’t you leave the skirt at school in your locker or backstage? Now that Halloween is over and you’ve done the trick-or-treat thing, you don’t need the skirt at home any more.
Good luck with the play!
