Need HELP with Halloween costume… have idea already, not coming together?

For Halloween I didn’t have the money to go out and buy a costume so I decided I would wear some clothes I have but will never ever wear because they’re not my style. The problem is, I think my “costume” still looks dorky. Suggestions? (Sorry I don’t have any pics.)
Planning to wear:
>A purple skirt with leopard print. A little longer than knee length. Corduroy fabric.
>Either a plain black T that I’ll cut into a tank/tube top, or this black, close-fitting shirt I have with a v-neck.
>Silver nail polish.
>Silver hoop earrings. (I do wear these normally, but I don’t have any good black earrings. Or any earring I won’t normally wear.)
>Black knee socks with a purple stripe at the top.
>My only black shoes are these boots that come up about 4 in. above my ankles and have fur at the top. I don’t have a chance to go to the mall to get new shoes.
>Lots of purple shadow, black mascara and eyeliner. (My eyes are the only part of this outfit that look good so far.)

omg that sounds really retro and funky! i love it do lots of layering and stuff. uhm maybe wear some cool colored tights under the skirt…u may have if not its fine let me show u an idea u can do in explanations below:
Ok, get a any color long sleeve shirt, then stick the T over the top of it maybe go buy some cheap fabric paint at walmart if u can and do a design or even ur name on the black T.
Then, Cut the skirt shorter to about 2 inches above knee, and u said u had those tall socks with the stripe def wear those.
About the shoes, ok, its halloween it doesnt perfectly have to match if u have pink shoes or something, maybe even shoes that look like converse (they have at walmart for 10 dollars if not) would look neat and there black!
About the eyes maybe try another color then just purple and black. Maybe Pink or Blue..make it funky to go with ur style!!

p.s. if u goto Walmart i bet u can get all you need on a small amount maybe 20.00 or something if not im shurr u can pull it off with the ideas i gave u 
P.S. DONT FORGET TO CUT THE SKIRT CUZ IT WILL LOOK SOOO MUCH BETTER!
