Help! friend/wo-workers mother passed away, what do i wear to the funeral? it will be 100+ temps in Calif.?

I haven’t been to a funeral in a long time, never the less…one in calif. where temps will exceed 100 degrees, is BLACK still what I wear, so I don’t stand out? I have a longer army green/black print skirt and short sleeved v-neck top will that be ok to wear??

How do you wear a white skirt without giving too much away?

I got a pretty white skirt that has no inner lining. I also got a white slip to wear under it, but it makes the skirt lose its appeal. Any suggestions on on how to wear it. It looks fabulous with a bright red top and flat sandals.
