As a crossdresser, I am going out to dinner with a friend and not sure if I should wear a white skirt past knee length, with black top and sandals or a plain black summer dress.

finished this dress this afternoon! can i just say how much i love imovie? easiest video editing program ever known to man. haha. anywho, i really loved alexa chung’s dress from opening ceremony and thought it was an easy project to do. i used the same custom bodice block i drafted for my ‘anita’ dress and added some extra front darts and back darts to make the top more fitted. pleated skirt is pretty straightforward. i couldn’t find a matching zip so i just went with a black one. contrasting hardware rulz yo x amie heartbeats-intimidation.blogspot.com

i bought this skirt and it’s really cute, but whatever i wear with it i look like i’m going to work and i feel uncomfortable in it. i want to wear this to school, but i’m not sure how to dress it down.

maybe i could shorten the hem? add some colored tights? add some flashy flats? any ideas are strongly appreciated.
