Vintage style question, light blue mod dress?

I have this little baby blue mini dress that I made myself, (picture: http://s65.photobucket.com/albums/h206/sa_29/?action=view¤t=smokestackdemolition002.jpg) I like it a lot, but but a little bit plain. Does anyone know what I can do to dress it up?
My style is kind of edgy vintage, i like high waisted skirts with ripped black tights, and stuff like that. I HATE giant over-the-top jewlry or rediculously bold, bright prints. I tend to wear a lot of grey, black, white, and red, and my favorite decades for clothes are the 1920’s and the early 1960’s.
sorry about the picture, i don’t know how to fix that. like I said, the dress is baby blue, mid-thigh length, and sleevless. Also, it isn’t all that curvy, it pretty much goes straight down.
You need a pw to see the dress
we cant see the pic since ur photobucket is private and we need a password
try…
belting it with a thin belt, or one with a cute buckle!
add cute buttons?
pockets?
try emboridering a cute floral print on the hem?
wear it with cute peeptoe booties, or regular booties.
try a blazer or a soft boyfriend cardigan with it
wear it with lace tights
Since your dress is a plain straight mini why not give it a baby-doll look by adding a collar (peter pan shaped, preferably) and 4 or 5 big (not enormous, though) fabric covered buttons. It would look neat if the buttons and collar were made in the same fabric and contrasted with the baby blue rest of the dress – you could opt for white, black, purple, pink… or just another shade of blue… the possibilities are endless colour-wise.
And the baby-doll slant would still tie in with the mod shape.
Hope this helps!
