I’m not sure about the area where you are but where I am the fall goes from either really hot to really cold, not too much in between. For the cold weather I suggest a few long scarfs in several different colors. A winter coat or a fleece (north face or columbia) in a neutral color to balance out your outfits. I always get a few sweaters in earth tones that can be dressed up or down with accessories, gap usually has a bunch of cute ones. Get close toed shoes, and depending on your region, (ie if it snows) Boots.
Well, fall colors are usually more earthy tones, like browns., greens and plum colors. But u can spice them up a little too, by wearing a patterned skirt like tghe plaid one u told about with a plain shirt,, and maybe a vest/shrug like this:http://www4.jcpenney.com/jcp/Products.aspx?DeptID=40380&CatID=46904&CatTyp=DEP&ItemTyp=C&GrpTyp=PRD&ItemID=119d1e0&ProdSeq=27&Cat=tops&Dep=Juniors&PCat=dressed+up&PCatID=46903&RefPage=ProductList&Sale=&ProdCount=29&RecPtr=&ShowMenu=&TTYP=&ShopBy=0&RefPageName=CategoryAll%252Easpx&RefCatID=46903&RefDeptID=40380&Page=4&CmCatId=40380|46903|46904 but I was thinking more of a vest shape, but this ws the closest I found…u get the idea though right??
Try to invest in SOME sort of sneaker, liek an athletic one from sketchers that are really popular rite now.
Shirts like these will NEVER EVER go out:http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=5382&pid=522776&scid=522776042 and they are in very fall friendly colors, but really they could work for any season, and go from work to casual.
A jacket like this in ANY of the colors would work well toohttp://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=5382&pid=508667&scid=508667022
Something like this too would look great with tan pants or jeans like they show http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/outfit.do?cid=9170&oid=OUT08062
Also make sure to get some tanks and fitted tee for layering.
I think yourpurse sounds great and will go w/alot of stuff, but I would also consider getting a black clutch or something fro more dressy occasions.
Hope I helped!!
U sound pretty set, I dont think u should get flaiir jeans, the new style for fall is very streamline, trade in a bubble skirt for a pencil skirt, ya kno what I mean? Instead of getting one coach(expensive!) why dont u get a few cheaper bags from others places? More bags more different outfits
